Search Engines Not Working?
So I came home and started my computer. I clicked on Mozilla Firefox and the screen was completely white except the top part with the address bar. I thought maybe Firefox is down so I tried Google Chrome and then Internet Explorer. They both have the exact same issue as I described with FireFox, except Chrome and IE say the page can't be displayed. Now here's the thing. Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem and my AVG AntiVirus program couldn't detect a single threat from a whole system scan. I have no idea what the problem is if anyone knows please help. Thank you in advance.

Strange. Try restarting your computer if you haven't already. Check to see if your antivirus system is blocking you from accessing these browsers. If you can't get it still, perform a system restore while making sure you backup anything new you have created after the system restore point you choose. You can just put these files on a flash drive.

Ok, so assuming you did what the other two people said, then here is my advice. I would recommend that you do a system restore to the last point your PC was working. Learn How to do system restore- http://www.malwarebytes.org/. It should scan some items. If that doesn't work then I would get it fixed by a professional, I wouldn't want to make it worse.
Hope this helps! |
