Does Freedom Need to be Won More Than Once?
I'm writing an essay on this topic. I need to know what the people think. The more opinions I have the better this essay will be. If it would not be too much trouble, I have to have evidence (events in history).

Yes. Freedom needs to always be fought for. Not necessarily in a form of war, but through other avenues such as protests, activism, education, etc. Today, we have social media and can go to YouTube anytime and see people fighting for their own freedom as well as the masses. Everyday there are laws being passed to slowly take away the liberties of the individual though soft tyranny and statism.
The Revolutionary War is of course the first and prime example of fighting for freedom/liberty in America. The best way to see people fighting for their freedom and/or rights is through the Supreme Court cases. Here are some examples (you can look up what the cases were for). MURDOCK v. PENN., 319 U.S. 105 SHUTTLESWORTH v. BIRMINGHAM, 373 U.S. 262 Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District (No. 21) 393 U.S. 503 There are hundreds of cases showing people fighting for there freedom against the state look some up. Ads |
