Why does Facebook do this?

I'm trying to add some of my favorite character from my tv show as friends on Facebook but it's blocked me from letting me do it I'm so mad because my friend does it all the time she doesn't have any problems with it. I dont see why it can't let me do it. I'm not doing anything bad I just wanna talk to them. Since I got my new iPhone I've been having a lot of problems with Facebook lately I don't know why. Why won't it let me send them friends requests ?

Because in the past you sent friend requests to people that reported you( they said they dont know you at all, and facebook blocked you), and that caused you to be unable to send requests,but usually it will allow you in couple of days(30 or something like that)
Or another problem would be that,the characters from your favourite show already reached the limit of friends on facebook.
