Can the police check your phone after being accused of child pornography and the chargers were dropped?
Hi im 17 and i was falsely accused of child pornography after my ex gf send me some nudes of her and ended up going viral on fb.the police took my phone because they thought i was sharing the pics but try didnt find anything. After a while they made my dad pick up the phone and sign some contract or something, they told him tey were going to keep on contact with the phone etc.But my question is can te police put something to my phone to keep checking on me for pics of girls etc?

First of all I am sorry for what you went through, it must of been awful to go through that.

As for the laws, I am unsure but I would probably just get a new phone,

The police can do anything they want if they have a warrant to do it. If they do have a warrant, they're probably not going to tell you. If I were you, I'd steer clear of downloading/sharing nudes on your phone from now on. You came within a hair's breath of being charged for doing it, and you don't want to take the chance again, do you?

But remember, they can't charge you if somebody else texts a picture to YOU, unless YOU SHARE it elsewhere. So if some young girl sends you nudes, just delete them. DO NOT send them elsewhere and I'd advise NOT saving them.
