In Mail below the Recent listing there is an icon for ads. How do I stop it from appearing?

Use the free extension Adblock Plus or Adblock when using Google Chrome.
Use the free add-on Adblock Plus or Adblock when using Firefox.
Also use the free add-on Yahoo Mail Hide Ad Panel when using Firefox.
Or you can click the gear icon on the Mail webpage, click Ad Free Mail and pay Yahoo about $50.
