Google Chrome will not show text.?

Very recently, i have started up Google chrome to find it not loading any page at all. After allowing it on my firewall (McAffe SecurityCenter), chrome can load pages just fine, but the page wouldn't show text at all. It shows images though. I would also like to add that i can not change my encoding or font, that i have tried reinstalling Chrome, and that i can copy and paste text that would normally appear on the page.

Reset Google Chrome. Settings (little spanner at top right) Options, Under the Bonnet and "Reset to Defult"

If still not working then un-install chrome and re-install latest version from website
