How can I get my fanfiction noticed?
When I say I've written a fanfiction out loud it sounds sad but I like to do it because I'm bored and I believe I get some good ideas, anyway my fan fiction is about an anime (kuroshitsuji(blackbutler)) and I've only done one chapter but I believe I have worked very hard on it (took me 4 hours and me nearly ripping out my hair) and I want to know how to get it noticed, I have published it on fan fiction.net and quotev and I'm thinking about putting it on deviantart as well because I would think that putting it on multiple websites will multiply my chances of someone reading it, I would like to know if there is ways to help get it noticed, thank you x

Just post it on as many sites as possible (but make sure you have a note that says you've posted it on ---.---.---, and quotev or whatever the sites are. What's it called on quotev? I would love to read it, and I also have an account... hahaha good luck Big Grin follow for follow?

1. Make sure it is well written, by getting a BETA
2. Make sure there aren't many stories with the same exact plot (they get boring)
3. If you are a good artist, draw cover pictures for the fanfiction and post them to deviantart with links, those would attract people.
4. Don't bother posting the actual fanfiction on deviantart, very few people would read it.

Just keep posting chapters when chapters are posted the recently updated ones appear on the first page. Also I recommend wattpad the site has A LOT of fanfics about everything. Smile

Okay.

Post it at a time where there is a lot of traffic on the website. Like say 3pm where most people are coming home from school or such. A lot of times, the first thing people do when they get home is get their email, and other social media things.

Make sure your summary is good. You can google how to write an interesting summary. The summary is what really draws people in so make it stand out. And no "Summary sucks but story is good I promise" or anything along those lines. It's off putting.

Keep writing. Post a chapter the following week so your story frequently appears on the top of the list. This will allow it to be seen by more people

Don't beg for reviews but if you want, you can add an authors note at the end of the chapter saying "Thanks for reading! Feedback is welcome" This encourages reviews without being pushy and if others see that your story is receiving good reviews, it'll entice them to check it out.

Read and review other author's stories. Sometimes they'll return the favor

Just don't give up or be discouraged! Good luck Smile
