Youtube Lock symbol in upper right corner?
I go on youtube and theres a padlock symbol in the upper right corner, when i clicked on it it said something about geotrust global ca blah blah blah i don't understand what it is. It says it'll "Expire" and its some kind of certificate. The fuck is this thing?

It means all data transferred between you and YouTube (login details, videos you watch, everything on a page etc.) is encrypted. This means that only you and YouTube can see the details.

A normal internet connection is a bit like two people shouting across a football field at each other. If you are in the right spot at the right time, you can listen in to their conversation.
However, an encrypted connection is a bit like them shouting across the field in a language that only they know. It'd just sound like gibberish to anyone else listening in, but to those two people they'd be able to understand each other perfectly.

If you didn't realise, you are one of those people, and YouTube is the other person.

Never ever click any link when using website unless you know that.
On youtube they do not put such things. Better clear browser's history and cookies restart computer go to youtube and try.

If you still face problem update:
Windows/Mac. Browser, Java, Adobe flash player and Adobe Shockwave player.
