If you have not done so, you will need to verify your email address. An email has been probably sent to the email address you filled out in the profile with an activation link.

When you sign up for facebook it sends you an e-mail and you go to the link provided in the e-mail to activate your facebook.

when it does that click on the ACTIVATE. this happened to me last night and i did and it worked.

This is a scam. Clicking on Activate brings you to the Allow page, which means it's an application. I would not Allow this app, just to be safe, as it sends personal information attached to your account to the developer. This app is not connected to or approved by Facebook at all.

Ignore it. Your account is in no danger. Facebook accounts do not expire.
