Creating a big and complex website (internet business)?

Hi every one, I was looking if anyone can give me a start. what I am looking for, is to have a big and complex website to start an internet business (a rough idea, it would be a shopping website where people can open their internet shops and it will be customizable for shop owners, when someone purchases a product then the internet shop owner receives a notification and order in detail) I have my own idea for that (like how it should like and how it should work) I have my own investment, the main problem is! what talents/people should I hire for that? ( I can hire 4-5 people for that project) As I don't have any knowledge about programming, coding, website creating etc.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

re resourcing you can either use one company to do all the work or go direct and sub contract parts of it even via online sites - I don't think your real challenge is the coding - The issue will be getting people to your site and getting retailers signed up (all the big ones already have their own websites as do lots others). These "portal" type sites hit buffers a few years ago so the idea isn't new so make sure you have a rock solid business plan before spending lots money on this.
