Why won't Internet Exploroer come up?

I click on the icon and it comes up, but stays white. The address bar lets me type but it won't actually go anywhere. Any thoughts?

BTW: I actually like Internet Explorer and don't plan on switching to anything else. I'm using Firefox now and don't care for it.

Issue with your laptop

If the internet works on one browser but not another then the problem lies within your browser. Try updating internet explorer or reinstalling it by going to the Microsoft website.

te reset IE go to tools, internet options, advanced then click restore advanced settings, and then click reset and tick the box that says delete personal settings and click reset, reboot pc and then open IE again.

This fixes many problems with IE

If it is still playing up, open control panel and then add/remove programs (xp) or programs and features (Vista/7) tick the show updates box and then look for internet explorer, click to uninstall it, this will roll it back to the previous version.
