How Can I Improve Wireless Connection on My Laptop?
I recently purchased an HP Envy TS m6 Sleekbook and I love everything about it, except for the wireless adapter. I can be sitting in my living room with 2 of my roommates and they have a much stronger internet connection than I do. This has happened with different peoples laptops and with different routers. I always have a slower internet connection than those around me. What are my options for improving my laptop's internet connection?? Is it possible to upgrade my network adapter? From what I understand, these are usually integrated into the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. Is there anything I can buy or anything I can do to remedy this problem??

Thanks
My wireless adapter is an Intel Centrino wireless-n 2230 and my router is a NetGear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router

It all depends which brand of router you are using and what wireless card you have in your computer. So first you mention all this details then I will try to help you.

Hello,

I will be happy to help. Thank you for adding the additional information about your wireless card. I have included the Intel drivers below. I have also included an HP document on troubleshooting your wireless.

Check if there is no option to connect an external antenna.
If not, you can plug an external WIFI card with 1000+ ma output.
