Can I install my own router if my landlord provides internet/his own crap router?
Hey there,
Thanks in advance for any answers to my question. I live in an apartment, my landlord lives directly below me. He pays for internet/tv. The internet connection is pretty weak, but I have a nice video-gaming router from my last apartment. I was wondering how I could connect my own router in place of the old crappy one. Is this possible? Would I need any information from my landlord in order to do this? I have direct access to the old router - it's in my apartment unit. Thanks again @BigTimber : Would I need any administrative access to get it to work? Passwords etc? Ads |

Change it out and see if your performance improves. But you will only be as fast as his internet connection is.

Yea you can try another router but just make sure it can work with your ISP.
