cant get an internet connection?
ok...i have got bt internet...and recently i bought a netgear DG834G v2 router...so that i can have wireles internet around my house to use on my playstation 3 and laptops...i thought that it will just be easy to transfer my bt connection to my netgear adsl modem router....so all i did was plug my telephone wire from my bt connection into my netgear wireless adsl modem router...but....my bt internet connection doesnt transfer through...no computer or anything can pick up the connection....so i was wondering...what do i have to do in order to move the bt connection to the netgear modem router?....my wireless lan works...but there is no internet in that wireless signals...
BT... is a uk based internet provider...but...from my BT modem...i online have a port which has a cable that can only be connected through a usb cable....it doesnt have a port for a ethernet cable...so i cant connect the modem with my new wireless router modem ess babe...i have no idea wot i am doing...im a totalt computer noob Ads |

I'm not quite sure what "bt" is standing for.
It sounds like you have an aDSL modem, _and_ a router . . . your phone line should go into the modem, and you should connect to the router with an ethernet cable. Ads |
