I have a Gateway Netbook LT20 and i am not receiving an internet connection wirelessly or through an ethernet cable. What's the problem?
i have a good internet connection because my girl friend and moms computer work fine. the wireless isnt blinking (on the LT20) but it wont cut on. but why wont the ethernet port work. i have a belkin router and the wireless light is lit up but that is because of the computer i am on now. but the wired light isnt lit up and i have an ethernet cable going from router to LT20. That enough?

Well, you need to give a little more detail.

Do you have an Ethernet cable puligged into it? What is the other end of the cable plugged into? Do you have an ISP?

Is the wireless turned on? Do you have a wireless router/modem/AP? Is it secured? Have you entered the key/passphrase for it into your Netbook? Have you tried connecting?

It sounds like your modem is not recieving an internet connection. Unplug the power of your modem for 15 seconds and plug it back in. If internet connectivity does not return shortly you will need to call your ISP for a diagnosis.
