I am not getting Twitter reset password instructions on my aol email address?

Several months ago, Twitter randomly logged me out on my phone and computer. It would not let me log back in even though I was sure I had my password correct. I sort of forgot about it for a while, but I am going to be looking for a job soon and want to take down everything I have on the internet. I am trying to log in, but it keeps saying I have to "reset my password to do that." When I have them email me reset instructions, I never get the email! Sure, the email I gave them is my aol address, and it is SUPER old and I never use it, but I still have access to it so I'm not sure why I am not getting the emails? Please help, I have tried everything I can think of

Make sure and whitelist Twitter in your contact list or you may want to try and adjust the AOL mail filter.
