Someone is claiming the item I sold them on Ebay is broken?
I sold an item on ebay and the person is claiming it's broken even though I tested it before I sent it. I don't know what to do because they didn't offer proof that it's broken but I don't really have any proof that it's not...should I just refund them their money? I don't want to get in trouble w/ Ebay/Paypal...

Your just gonna have to refund them. I wouldn't even try to fight it. The receiver could get so angry that he just smashes the object and can claim it was received that way..then your out of both money and the item.

ALWAYS take a video or pictures with proof of the date and time as your packing the item to show that it was sent in pristine condition. Every wants to sue everyone theses days. Its not worth it.

Sorry about this all. Better luck next time.

Refund it and be cautious next time around. Its imperative to record videos with data and time while you pack such stuff. Even while you hire a packaging guy, you need to record videos for safety sake.

Check their feedback history. You might be able to glean what type of person they are and if there's anything in it (their history) that you could use as a defence. I'd also ask ebay if the buyer has made similar claims in the past.

You don't need to record videos of you packing the item. Jeezus Pete, do these flakes think major retailers and PowerSellers are sending people videos of their items being packed? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

All you need to do is say, "I'm sorry you are disappointed with your item. Please return it for a full refund." If you're smart, you'll refund the return shipping as well if the item is indeed broken, since it is your responsibility to ensure the item is delivered in the condition in which it was described in the auction.
