how do i get top listing on google or yahoo?

my site comes up in other sites i put it on, but how do i get my site in the top 10 or 20? of google or yahoo. is it $. my site is for guitar lessons, just not really sure what i need to do. thank you , j k

It's not a quick and easy answer or everyone would be doing it.

For starters, go to google and type "pdf seo guide google"

Download their guide. If you do what it says, you will be ahead of the game.

You have to keep posting excellent content. That is the only sure way to get to the top. If you post interesting news, you will get discovered.

Write to as many magazines as possible and try to get them to list your site on their "Top 10" lists.
