For some reason Facebook messages are not showing up in my email anymore. I checked fb notifications and spam on yahoo mail. Any ideas?

Check your settings on FB. It is possible to opt out of receiving e-mails for certain notifications. You should check to see if your message notification e-mails have been un-checked from the list.
