Prevent a few things, invest in others (Apple was moribund in 1998, I believe), maybe steal some intellectual property ("write" a hit song, or be the guy who came up with Avatar, etc.).

If I'm in the mood, I'd predict the natural disasters that I can remember and make it look like I'm some kind of prophet.

Go to a rave, record 90's TV shows I like with a VCR, and buy some copies of Pokemon Red and Blue and keep them boxed and sell them for 100's of dollars online in the 2010's.
