Would A Wifi Repeater/Extender Help Connection Issues On My Xbox360?

Now I don't have bad connection issues on my console (connected over wifi) until my brother hops on his PS3 (also connected over wifi) which is closer to our crappy Century-Link wireless router than my xbox. So I looked into it and thought buying a wifi extender would help I bought one from Amazon for $30 and am still waiting for it. I want to know If this will help my xbox not lag while he is using his PS3?(especially while he's on Netflix) Please Answer any questions you can cause I hope I didn't make a useless purchase.

Note: And before anyone says it No, Moving router into my room, getting better internet or better router Aren't any possible options.

Note 3: My router isn't very far either my xbox can handle the distance EASILY (same floor and is only about 10ft away)
It's ONLY the ps3 that ruins my connection

use an AP or router and use WDS on it. had no success with the extender I bought.
