tumblr playing ads?

I signed into tumblr and it was being sticky and slow and then google chrome started freaking out and blocking tons of popups. I stayed on tumblr for a little bit longer and then all of a sudden the sounds to advertisements just started playing. I couldn't find the source of the ads, and the sounds kept going and sometimes it started playing more than one commercial's sounds at once. This only happens on tumblr. What is going on? Is this a virus? I tried changing my password, but it didn't help.
I went to the website that was being blocked and it made me download something before I could close it...I deleted what I was forced to download

if thats on tumblr it cant be a virus, try to unblock the pop up windows and maybe you can see where the ads are you can close them
