How do u make internet connections on the PSP console?

How do you make internet connections on the PSP? I'm a BRAND NEW BEGINNER and I don't know what to do first!Please Help!!!!!!!!
I really need an upgrade by Internet connection!

PS- If U decide to help, please tell step by step instead of just saying one little word.

First question: Do you have a WIRELESS Router for your Internet connection in your house?

If you only have a wired modem, then the PSP can't connect to anything. If you do have awireless connection then on your PSP go to Settings> Network Settings. Click [New Connection} then choose Scan. It should pick up your connection. If you have security on it put in the p/word, if not leave it blank.
