Twitter Question?????

I'm new to twitter so don't think I'm dumb. If someone isn't following you, but you are following them, and you recieve their tweets on your phone, if I tweet them back with "@yournamehere then write a message" do they see that on their page? Because I've done that and went to their page and don't see it on their page at all. Forgive me, I've been a myspace girl for 6 years and have hated twitter, but decided to give it a try, anywho I'm following a celeb and she isn't following me. So can she see what I send to her or not?
P.S. This person is a Celeb and doesn't have a myspace or a facebook, I wish she did but sadly she doesnt. And I doubt she looks at my page because she has 234987q34 followers. and shes not following me. I don't see it on her page when I got there.

Get a FACEBOOK! and just write it on her page via interwebs.

yes she would be able to see it if she clicks the @hername link at the righthand side of the page just above the "direct messages" link.
