selling things i make on ebay?

i really want to make tie dye t shirts/shorts/frilly socks/tights on ebay?
obviously i will be making these myself, but. have a few questions
1. will they sell? i need to work out how much im selling them for (providing i make a profit because i obviously need to buy items, dye etc)
2. will i get recognised on ebay? (tips on how to)
3. is it legal to sell these on the internet?

any designs or other ideas related to this would also be handy,

my friend sold tie dye at the Saturday market in Ashland Oregon. it was a juried booth. she could buy 144 shirts at a whack and dyed them carefully. final step after the mordant was to iron. under shorts and socks were not permitted. she had a place they could try on. pinterest might be arother place to show and sell. she often cleared 1000 dollars. fourth of july was the best venue. for person to person sale.
