Why would someone make their FB page public?

I have a friend who makes all of her postings and pictures on FB public. She is a stay-at-home Mother, and sometimes posts pictures of her children and makes comments like every three hours, even during the night. I keep all of my stuff private for friend's viewing only. I cannot understand why someone would want to expose themselves like that. She also tweets constantly.

If you have a problem, may be you should consider blocking her. But I guess my question is, how is it that what she's doing, affecting you? She probably has friends that are not on FB, that wants to view her pictures. This is a free country and she can do what she wants. Weird.
