What do you think of flirty comments on social media?

I personally think it makes people look really "thirsty." Putting down flirty comments on other people's pictures.

I agree, I usually consider it to be complimentary, if I put down a comment like that it would be a compliment... But yeah, I'd rather give a compliment privately.

But seriously I think you will find many people who pretend to be confident and flirtatious on the Internet are socially awkward and have no idea how to talk to members of the opposite sex in really life. They are probably just overcompensating in a way they would never be able to do face to face.
