SkyDrive re-sizes my photos??

I take photos with my camera that are generally about 4mb each. When I upload them to SkyDrive directly from my wi-fi enabled camera they get re-sized to only 500kb.

Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening?

Also, does that mean that the photo is now permanently this poor quality now? I use my photos in publishing and am worried that they will not be of a good enough quality now.

Any advice much appreciated.

it does resize photos to fit 2048 wide and keep aspect ratio.
this is not the same as quality.

It just Compress your Image to Adjust the aspect ratio and ofcourse to Save Memory !!

Most of companies comes with Inbuilt Feature to Compress the Image as soon you Upload it.
The Quality will be compromised a Little, but will Not Much Reflect I think !!
