You must have been living in a cave for the last year or incapable of a simple internet search, one or the other...

They reversed that policy. You only need to connect to the internet ONE time during the initial system set up to download the day 1 patch, after that you never need to connect again.

I bought Titanfal and everything is online. It really depends on the game. The xbox exclusives seem to be totally online.
