How to fix my internet?

I am 16 I live in MI and my connection Is xinfinty. A couple days ago they were like checking towers or I think trying to improve them but now everytime I play a game or use my phone it lags it never use to do that it was always perfect. Now I can barley use the internet on my phone. I have told my mom multiple times to call the but she still hasn't and it's making me mad is their anyway to fix it by myself I've tried restarting the router it didn't work anything ?
