Why aren't links I click loading?

I use both firefox and chrome. I've been having an issue where when I click on something on a webpage that directs me to another page (ex: clicking on a blog from my tumblr dashboard or clicking on a website via google search), it will tell me the server cannot be found or that the page will not load, and it will take me several times of going back clicking the link over and over again for the page to finally load, as refreshing doesn't work well.

It's been doing this for a little over a week, now. My internet connection is fine. What could possibly be wrong?

It might be a virus or spam

If your internet if fine (which I'm not sure it is) then check for viruses, adware and spyware.
