Google chrome, why does shockwave player keep crashing?

I really have no idea why, but whenever I use any sort of thing on Google Chrome that uses Adobe Flashplayer to load, there's like a 99% chance of it crashing, and I'd have to resort to Internet Explorer. Mozilla has the same problem as Chrome currently for me, but on that it just closes, and restarts upon seeing anything Adobe Flashplayer-related. I've tried reinstalling Adobe Flashplayer, Adobe Shockwave player both multiple times. Now whenever I try to install the Shockwave player it says it's unable to finish the installation due to an error.. Can anybody help?

Try reinstalling your google chrome and then install flash or Shockwave again
