How does Facebook track my Amazon activity ?
I recently searched on Amazon for a specific version of a book. I wasn't logged in to Amazon, yet somehow the next day when I logged onto Facebook; under the sponsored ads, there was an advert of that specific book from Amazon.
It would make total sense if I had "liked" or linked the book from a site but this isn't the case. How is Facebook tracking this ? Ads |

Facebook uses cookies to store your account information and track browsing habits. They work with several third-party service providers to show relevant ads
https://www.facebook.com/help/133547810119620 Read the last paragraph at http://mashable.com/2013/10/15/facebook-...based-ads/ which says "Amazon runs ads outside of its network and remind users of books and other items they have recently browsed on Amazon" You can disable tracking these "interest-based advertising" at http://www.amazon.com/gp/dra/info (no login required - settings are saved inside browser cookies) |
