I want to let her know i like her but im not sure if i should.?

About 6 weeks ago this girl in my sophmore english class was really sad. I asked her if she was ok and she just told me no. A couple days later the teacher made a new seating chart and me and her were the only ones at our table. One day she was really upset so i slipped her a note saying "Dont be sad" *Smile face". She cheered up and told me she thought i was her favorite person in the room. The teacher had said she was making a few changes in the seating chart the next day. She asked if she could sit next to me. Like loud enough for the entire class to hear. A few days later our teacher made us write compliments about each other. We started having small talk during class. On valentines day our teacher gave us a list of the compliments we recieved. There was one on the paper that said "The only person in this world that can make me smile for no reason". It was way more personal than the others and she told me she wrote it. I shrugged it off and told her "I thought so" and went to talk to other friends. Before I left class that day i handed her a chocolate and told her happy valentines day, then left bc i heard someone awing in the back ground. Its been a week now since then and she stopped saying much to me outside of english. She used to say hi to me in another period but now she doesnt. When we were talking before that she seemed to listen more intently but now she seems to still pay attention to me but not be as interested She still seems to be happy and the same around her friends but seems less interested around me. Did i make her feel unappreciated or like i want interested? Yesterday I friended her on facebook and i had like a 2 hour long conversation with her over facebook just talking about random things (i.e. favorite tv, hobbies, classes, music). She used the C: emoticon and lol a LOT. But i assumed that was normal. Then when i told her i wasnt going to be at school the next day she was like super suprised. Then today i tried to have a conversation but she her parents wanted her to spend time with the family. That is usually the only reason she ends a conversation so i dont think she is making it up to get out of the conversation (usually i end it). We have had a couple more conversations then the other day i got her number. One time she had a bad day and i asked her if there was anything i could do (over a text) and she said "your sweet". This doesnt mean much from what i could tell but others may think diffrently. Anyhow i want to tell her i like her but im not sure i should. Sorry for the legnth just feel its easier with detail.

Go for it if she says no the heartbreaker is easier than if you develop a stronger unfulfilling crush. Guys should be confident and assert themselves. Go for it in a cool way.
