How should I go about this?

I'm in a strange position. I like this girl, and I have her number from seeing it on twitter. I don't wanna just text her, beause then it's that awkward moment of "how did you get my number?", and I don't wanna look like a stalker. I'd ask her for it, but she's always around like 4 of her friends, and I don't wanna ask it in front of all of them. Please help!
Oh and she doesn't follow me back. We tweet at each other and stuff though. TO be honest, idk why she doesnt follow me
