Anyone else had bad service with At&t uverse internet?
We use DirecTV for tv and our mobile phones thru boost and verizon (no landline) so I have At&t *solely* for wireless internet. It's been less than a year with them and so far things have been TERRIBLE. I'm talking 4 visits besides the installation. We got the basic internet. The week or so after it was installed we were streaming our On Demand shows perfectly (the Directv receiver uses the wireless internet to stream 'on demand' shows). Then, mysteriously it slowed down and I kept getting an error message saying the connection was too slow. I disconnected my computer and phone from it and still got that message. The Customer service rep said it was still within the 'range' even if it slowed down. Ok...so they put me on the next level of internet, which cost more. Things were streaming fine...then a week or so later it wouldn't connect...aaaagain. Then my computer wouldn't connect.
The tech came out and put in a new router about 3 weeks ago. TV shows were streaming fine again...but..boom a week later and it said there was a problem with the connection!!!!! I re-entered the network name and password..still doesn't work. It is not DirecTV...I checked with them more than once. I am really suspicious that the speed seems to keep slowing down even though I don't add other devices.

Anyone else have issues with them too? Do you have an internet provider who gives you a good deal without bundling?

The internet connection was adequate ... the selection of cable packages was fine (a little too expensive). My main beef w/ U-verse was the pixilation that occurred intermittently and too severely along w/ how the cable went out all together.
I will not use that service when I ensconce in my relocation.
