Have you got a wireless adapter in the computer? If you haven't you need to go and get one and install it and it's software.

If you have got one you need to check that it's trying to hook to the right SSID with the right WEP/WPA key. Log onto your wireless router to find the SSID it offers and which type of key it uses (WEP or WPA, size of key) and what the ley is.

Does your computer have wireless network connectivity? If so, you turn on the wireless button on the front of the laptop. Then the computer will automatically detect the connection wirelessly. If it does not, make sure that the wireless connection is enable. To enable or check on it:

Open the Windows Control Panel. Control Panel can be found on the Windows Start Menu.

1. Open the "Network Connections" icon in Control Panel. The Control Panel will refresh to become the "Network Connections" window. If necessary, first open the "Network and Internet Connections" icon in Control panel, then choose "Network Connections" from within that screen.

2. The Network Connections window lists all Dial-up and LAN / High-Speed Internet connections installed. In the list of LAN / High Speed Internet connections, select the icon that corresponds to the network you wish to enable or disable.

3. Right-click on the selected network connection. A pop-up menu appears. If the connection is currently enabled, the first option in this menu will be "Disable." Otherwise, the first menu option will be "Enable."

Good Luck,
