why wont my twitter app for iphone let me log in?

i have an iphone 4 and i've tried to download the app onto my phone but when i try to type in my password, the screen is frozen and wont let me do anything. I already tried to delete it and reinstall the app, and to shut off my phone and restart it and then download the app. But it still freezes on the login screen. Please help, thanks!

It might be because the twitter app has a specific update that u need to have to be able to use the app. Try updating your phone's software update, or try updating twitter itself. If you dont know how to update the app, just go to the appstore, search for the twitter app, tap it and if it says update on the download button, then tap update. Otherwise, the app may just not be working. Some of my friends had the exact same problem but with the WhatsApp app,and they just came to the conclusion that it just doesn't work for their phones.
