Ebay and paypal? hellllpp 10 points!?

Hi i purchased a item off a selling on ebay and not received it so i have contacted them many of times and they are saying they won't do nothing about it and being rude and now are actually ignoring me.. so anyway i am tying to make a claim so i clicked on the item and clicked a link called (resolve a problem) and clicked (i did not receive my item) and clicked the link report not receiving a item and it comes up with this... You purchased this item as a PayPal guest user and will need to contact PayPal directly by going through their Resolution Centre... I have a paypal account but i have never used it i purchase with my debit card so i don't know why it said i purchased through paypal.. anyway my email address is the same as my ebay one and when i try and report it via paypal it says search for the transaction I.d? i try and nothing comes up as i purchased it on ebay site? I went to my email which confirms it was bought via paypal on ebay but i don't see a transaction i. all i see is a receipt number and this is 16 digits and i try and put it in and it says error? what is going on i can't report this to ebay or Paypal as ebay telling me i have to go via paypal and when i do it says ive got no transactions? it is weird i paid via debit card on ebay and got a paypal receipt which don't work on the transaction i.d on paypal to report? arhh please help 10 points
