Background for google chrome?

i used http://www.chrometheme.net/chrome-theme-....html#faqs to creat a them for my google chrome. When i installed it everything work except i thought the background would stay. i saw on my friends that they had there background up all the time how do you do this. and the same thing happened when i used one of googles premade themes. Thanks for the help!
