I want to play music from my MacBook pro to my speakers wirelessly.?

This has annoyed me to no end. The internet has too many categories for this and people keep suggesting things like Jambox and Sonos and I really don't want a wireless speaker system.

I HAVE SPEAKERS WITH AN RCA INPUT.
I HAVE A MACBOOK PRO.
I WANT TO CONNECT THEM TOGETHER WIRELESSLY.
Simple.

I've looked into it and I've leaning towards the non-FM options perhaps a 2.4GHz or a 5.8GHz connection.

You are over-complicating this issue. This is why Apple released the Airport Express you can get it for $75 refurbished from Apple.
