Entry job level Scam?
Hello!

So, I am a recent graduate looking for a job, and I got contacted on Monster.com by a company called Skyline Ohio
http://www.skylineohioinc.com/
https://www.facebook.com/skylineohioinc

Those are their websites
So I did the interview today, it was a ten minute interview that focused on my leadership abilities, teaching abilities, what I want to do in 5 years, etc. There are 2 more stages of interview to go through. I got called back later today saying that they want me to go in tomorrow, same place, from 9:15 - 10:30 in the morning to meet one of the account executives, talk to them, understand the benefits and pay, etc and to wear business professional. I told him I have class at 11:30, so I know I can't be there all day.

Now I have friends that have been scammed into doing door to door sales, doing kiosk work at the mall, etc. They said this job sounds a lot like it, so I don't feel like getting up in the morning to be kidnapped into doing sales. They DO work right next to a mall too in a very developed area.

Their office suite that I visited at today and potentially tomorrow is a small one, with maybe 3 other rooms in their small lobby. There were about 3 people filtering in and out of the office to do the interviews. My first concern was how small the office was, which meant that I obviously will not be working in that building. He even admitted that they aren't telemarketers, etc, but why say that if you don't do something similar? The secretary though was really nice and had her master's degree, and the interviewer was probably 26 or so and was very professional and had a pitch about what the company had to offer, but then again almost all companies do that.

I am on the fence, because some things about this company are actually very well put together and look very appealing. But then I google around and they sort of remind me of these scams where they dress up the position. Now what I want to know, is if this is going to be one of those where I get taken somewhere and have to ask to be driven back, or if they are a legit company and I shouldn't worry about finding a ride back to their office so I can get out of there.

I am new to the job market, and am one of my first friends to graduate, so I do not have much experience with this.

Can someone help me understand if this one of those scams or not? IT sounds like it, but I honestly don't know.

I believe Skyline is commissioned sales. Run the other way.

The website opened August 26, 2013. That's why no one knows anything about them. They are new. They list Ohio as their home. The site uses a free email address. You can open and close one of those in 2 minutes.

The odds are very high that this will be a major waste of your time and energy. The only online employee review sounded like a shill. She raved about the great "team experience". That is typical of many "marketing" companies which are really trying to sell something over the phone.
