Internet Connection sharing using XP PRO?
Hi, I have a wireless router that no longer works and don't have the funds to get a new one. I have XP pro on my laptop and a wireless adapter also. I am wanting to share the connection with another computer. Can I have the DSL modem connect to the laptop and the wireless adapter going out and then install another wireless adapter on the desktop PC to share the internet connection. And what Windows software would I need to enable on the XP pro to enable routing? Any help would be appreciated.

to enable internet sharring connect all the things that need to be connectedsuch as the wireless and the network and make sure that the internet is working . now
PC-A = the one connected to DSL modem directly PC-B = the one wanting internet 1. on computer A go in the control pannel and click networking connections. 2. there you see all you connections click on the one wich is your Internet connection and right click. 3 in the right click menu select sharring or share. 4. then it will ask you some questions and from there your on. enjoy ! be well for more info email PRINCE4PERSIA@YAHOO.COM with teh subject "INTERNET SHARRING" |
