Both browsers have their merits it all depends what you personally like! Why not install them both and give them a go?

If u want a light weight super fast browsing experience go with chrome.
If you want to customize the browser as you like go with firefox.

But i prefer Firefox.

Are you asking about CHROME or GOOGLE CHROME ??
Because there is a product on web named "SRWare Iron" which has the same engine as Google Chrome. Grab it from here :
http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware...wnload.php

After all, trying all browser will not cost you. Try them one by one and choose your best. For me Mozilla Firefox is best.

I have 5 browsers installed on my machine (IE9, FF 3.0/3.5/3.6/4b8, Chrome 7/9, Opera 9.5/10.6/11a, Safari 5)

According to my tests:
#1 - Google Chrome (faster, modern and promising)
#2 - Firefox (customizable, but runs very slowly)
#3 - Opera (nice rendering, smooth scrolling, but support extensions only in Opera 11 alpha)
