Tips for eBay seller!?
Hi
I am a new eBay seller and are just wondering if any body has any tips of not how to get scammed buy a buyer.
Also do eBay shipping labels provide tracking# if so are they enough to prove to eBay that the buyer did receive a package even if they say that they didn't?
Thank you

First up, setup your bidder requirement restrictions....

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/buyer-requirements.html

Set it all to the tightest limitations.

If you print your postage through eBay, which is something I highly recommend, delivery confirmation or tracking is included and it automatically entered into the transaction information. If you do use eBay to generate pre-paid labels, be sure to use an accurate scale and enter the dimensions (at least to the nearest whole number) and compare carrier options.

If you take the package to the post office, be sure to purchase tracking (in the US, we call it delivery confirmation) and enter it on the sale transaction page. This is important as the buyer can track the item and eBay knows you've shipped it.

On high ticket items, you can request a signature. If you do this, make sure the buyer is aware of this. eBay and PayPal are satisfied without the signature of smaller items.

The first question: No, it is not possible to avoid that.

Second question: You can buy a label online and pay 20 cents more for tracking number if you go through either Ebay or USPS. Yes, it proves item was shipped.

Buyers are very sneaky. They claim no receipt from non tracked package and get a refund so you lose the item and the money. They claim damage when there is none and dont return the damaged item or send you another one that is damaged and keep yours and get a refund. They buy items from new sellers who dont get paid and ship out too soon.

My account has been hacked three times by people overseas. I have been scammed twice by long time registered Ebay users in the U.S. and Japan. Lost the items and money both times.
