Should I purchase the Oculus Rift DK2 now, or wait for the consumer version?
Since the announcement of the second development kit for the Oculus Rift, I've been rather excited on having a virtual reality headset, especially considering the improvements from the first model. However, before Facebook buying Oculus VR, I heard that a consumer version is expected to come out late this year or early the next, and since the multi-billion-worth Facebook bought it, I assume that the consumer version would include even more and even better improvements, but I'd wish to order one as soon as possible, since I'll probably have less time for leisure next year in school.
Should I order the Rift Development Kit 2, or should I wait until the consumer version is at least announced? PS, don't tell me stuff like "don't get the Rift, Facebook bought it and now it will suck," because that's just a bunch of crap, of which we don't know will be real or not, that spread like a pandemic. The DK2 is expected to ship in July. Ads |

You should wait. You'll enjoy it even more. And thanks to facebook it's gonna be out sooner.
