They had been dating two years already. He is 25 and she is 21. Eight months ago there was something crazy that happened between them that was both their fault, but her parents pinned it on my friend and told her to not talk to him anymore. They start talking to each other three months later and she said she did not want her parents to find out. Everything was going fine and they even became engaged. One day her parents found out that she was talking to my friend and told her to stop. He then received a text from one of her friends telling him that the girl was no longer allowed to talk to him and her parents wished them to move on from each other. He has not heard from her since and it has been two months. However the funny point to the story is that she didnt delete him on Facebook, he has tried to contact her a couple times with no response back. She sees the messages though. He has told me he wants to delete her and move on, but his girlfriends are quick to tell him that he should not because she keeps him there as a way to communicate when she is ready and it would hurt her if he deletes her on there. The point is that he is confused and asks me all the time for answer however I am confused at the answers to give him here. The main question is why leave someone on Facebook only to ignore them? and also he continues to ask if he should wait a while for her (like 6 months) or just completely go off? She has not talked to me all this time either.

If she wants to talk to him there are other ways besides facebook.
I don't quite understand, she is 21 not 12. Her parents can only dictate who she wants to talk to if she wants that. It appears she does.

I think your friend can find someone that doesn't have the baggage that this girl and this relationship have.
