is it possible to plug computer into phone jack and prevent local internet service to my household?
My roommate enjoys online gaming and I would like to prank him by randomly cutting off the internet in an untraceable way, but from the convenience of my room. The modem is in his room but I'm hoping there is a way where I can use the phone jack connection in my room, or wirelessly send a jamming signal.

You could use DDoS(direct denial of service), which would turn off the router completely.

If you want to, get his IP. Then I recommend using JavaLOIC to DDoS him. Just being helpful. Don't get mad, Yahoo.
