I cannot access facebook.com on any browser.?
I have deleted my history on chrome.
I have turned on my firewall.
I have checked the following route: c:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS. The entry for Facebook was Correct: 173.252.110.27 facebook.com

For all I know it worked properly until 2 weeks ago. I get connected to our school's internet while I am at school. They block some websites one of which is facebook. I tried to use facebook once. Did the school's system tampered with my laptop? How can I fix it? I am not sure if it went wrong after I tried facebook or at school.

Is there any other way to block a website. I use windows firewall.

I totally forgot to mention that it shows:
Chrome: Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to http://www.facebook.com

Firefox: The connection has timed out
The server at http://www.facebook.com is taking too long to respond.

IE: This page can’t be displayed
I can connect to it on my parent's laptop.

It could be so many things it would be a lot easier if I was there. You're probably going to have to get someone to look at it just don't pay a lot and get ripped off.

Think about any changes you made to your laptop in the past 2 weeks. Go to your "programs and features" in your "control panel" and literally find out what everyone of them is. When you first bought that laptop there were like 10 programs on there so everything else you added and some of them could be malicious. Also if you downloaded a virus protector, scanner, or anti spyware they might have automatically turned on their own firewall that might block it so check all of them. Also check to see whats running in the background and what runs on start up and see if anything doesn't need to be there. Do the first by pressing ctrl alt del and going to your "task manager" then press the "processes" tab. Read under the Description section to see what your looking at. You can check what programs are booting on startup by either typing "msconfig" in your startup search bar or typing "run" in that search bar and then "msconfig" in the run. Then, go to the "startup" tab and see what you got. With this option you can uncheck everyone your not sure about then reset your computer and check to see if your problem is still there. If the problem is solved then keep re-checking programs and resetting your computer until you figure out which one is causing the problem.

Hope this helps like I said you might just end up having to get someone to look at it. Just don't go to geeksquad. They suck and waaaaaay overcharge
