Ebay help please..........?
I bought a blazer from Ebay a full month ago (16/12/12) and paid promptly.

The seller didn't mark the item as dispatched - I didn't think much of this as this has happened before, but they did still send the item. I waited a couple of days and asked her if she'd dispatched the item yet - I didn't get a response.

After waiting for the item for a couple weeks I checked her Ebay profile and saw that she had bought a few things and left feedback, etc - so she had still been online/actively using Ebay during this time.

I sent her another message after this, on the 3rd of this month, saying that if i don't receive the blazer within a week I'd want a complete refund. She replied saying sorry, etc she'd been on holiday and that she'd post the blazer the next day.

I was a little annoyed at this point - she could have sent me a message or added on the blazer's listing that she was planning on going on holiday and that the blazer wouldn't have been sent for a couple weeks! Especially as she was still using Ebay while supposedly on holiday!

She ended up marking the blazer as dispatched a couple days AFTER she said, which was a week ago today (9/01/13). I honesty felt messed around with by this seller.

Anyway today, a week after dispatch, and a month after purchase I STILL haven't received the blazer!

I messaged her saying that I'd wait another day (8 days is sufficient for this to arrive in my opinion) and I want a full refund if it doesn't arrive.

She replied saying that she no longer holds the blazer in her possession, effectively hinting that the blazer might have gotten lost and that she isn't prepared to refund.

I honestly don't know what to do! I've been as polite as possible in my messages and I'm not sure what my next step would be?

I don't really use Ebay much so I'm not sure what happens if the item did get lost - whether I would get my money back or not? And who needs to chase up royal mail about this, the buyer or the seller?

I don't know if I should continue waiting for it come tomorrow, or just chase her up for a refund like I previously said?

I can understand that sometimes items take longer to deliver than expected and it's outside of the seller's control - but at the same time it's all too coincidental that the blazer is lost/delayed after how long it took her to actually send it.

I don't know how to go about opening a dispute or if/when I should do so? My Ebay page said I have until the 29th of this month to do so..

I don't know what to reply to the seller about this?

All help is appreciated Smile thanks so much

Watch the calendar. Do not let the 45 days go by. The next time you have an urge to email the seller, just file with eBay.

Your seller is a lousy one. My condolances.

Your seller is also clueless. Sellers essentially self-insure so if it has been lost or stolen she's still responsible. If she bought insurance, she's the one who files to claim it, not you.

Don't worry.

Log in to ebay and go to 'my ebay' or the page originally showing the blazer and click on 'resolve a problem'. Follow the simple procedure to report you haven't received it. Do it now - she's had long enough.

If it hasn't arrived, that is the seller's problem, not yours. You'll get your refund - hopefully you paid by Paypal?
